About

Meet Sarah Hall, PT, DPT, CSCS

Sarah is a licensed physical therapist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in Cincinnati, Ohio, and the founder of Stella Maris Physical Therapy.

From the start of her career, Sarah has been drawn to chronic pain and its complexity, which calls for a whole-person approach. That passion led her to found Stella Maris, where she can offer care marked by hope and a clear path to healing, free from the limits of the conventional healthcare system.

Her study of pain led her to pelvic health and obstetric physical therapy, where she found a deep overlap between chronic pain and pelvic health. Guiding women through healing, often alongside a history of trauma, has become her calling. She supports women before, during, and after pregnancy so they can embrace new life, and walks with those recovering from physical and emotional trauma.

Since 2018 Sarah has also worked across outpatient orthopedics, inpatient rehabilitation, home health, and senior living, so she brings a wide range of experience to every visit.

Sarah's hope is for Stella Maris to be a haven for women in need of healing, and a place of hope, warmth, and joy.

The name

Why “Stella Maris”?

Stella Maris means “Star of the Sea,” an ancient title for Mary, the mother of Jesus. For centuries sailors looked to the star as a guide home through dark and stormy water.

The practice carries that hope: steady guidance through pain toward healing.

Our mission
To guide, teach, and equip our patients to be good stewards of their bodies, honoring emotional, spiritual, and psychological wellness along the way.
Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is Stella Maris only for women?

No. Pelvic health and obstetrics are a focus, but Sarah also treats orthopedic and neurologic conditions. Men and women with any physical concern are welcome to reach out and ask whether physical therapy could help.

What happens at my first visit?

Sarah takes a brief history, including relevant medical history and when and how your symptoms started. She then looks at your movement, body structure, and function, and uses physical therapy tests to find the most likely cause of your pain or dysfunction. Every evaluation is unique, but the goal is to start treatment or a home exercise right away, and to recommend how often and how long follow-up visits should be.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing that lets you move freely.

Do you take insurance?

Stella Maris is a cash-pay practice, which lets your plan of care follow your goals instead of insurance visit limits. Call or email for current rates.

Is dry needling the same as acupuncture?

No. The needles are similar, but dry needling is based on anatomy and neuroscience and is part of a physical therapy plan. More about dry needling.
